About the Block Party
This summer we are hosting our 2nd neighborhood Block Party on Friday July 10th from 12pm-4pm. The event will take place right in front of our Lake City Food Bank location. This block party is a great opportunity for the community to come together - we're expecting around 400 attendees throughout the day! We're asking local businesses and organizations to provide music, entertainment, food, and resources. This event will be open to all and all food will be free of charge to the public. North Helpline will also be providing free popcorn, snow cones, and produce regardless of food bank membership.
About the Volunteer Role
This role will make and serve Popcorn! You must already have an active WA State Food Worker's Card and carry it with you during the Block Party.
** If you don't have an active permit, or it's your first time, you can get one here. It takes about 30 minutes and costs $10 but the permit is valid for 3 years.
*** Please be prepared for hot weather. Bring sunscreen, hats, comfortable shoes, sunglasses, and a water bottle.
