About the Block Party
This summer we are hosting our 2nd neighborhood Block Party on Friday July 10th from 12pm-4pm. The event will take place right in front of our Lake City Food Bank location. This block party is a great opportunity for the community to come together - we're expecting around 400 attendees throughout the day! We're asking local businesses and organizations to provide music, entertainment, food, and resources. This event will be open to all and all food will be free of charge to the public. North Helpline will also be providing free popcorn, snow cones, and produce regardless of food bank membership.
About the Volunteer Role
This shift will assist staff in block party set-up / clean-up and carrying out the event. Duties may include decorating, serving as information ambassadors, monitoring garbage, restocking food and supplies, monitoring bathrooms, and other duties as needed.

- If you have restrictions that will prevent you from roles that include lifting etc.
- If you are comfortable OR uncomfortable working at a station with children.
*** Please be prepared for hot weather. Bring sunscreen, hats, comfortable shoes, sunglasses, and a water bottle.
