Greeter/Check-In Volunteer: (OUTDOOR POSITION)

This role is crucial in helping us meet the needs of our community with compassion and respect. Multi-lingual individuals are encouraged to volunteer, although this is not a requirement.
The Check-in volunteers will greet our neighbors, assist them in the check-in process or refer them to a staff/volunteer to register for membership to access the services at our food bank.
This volunteer role involves using our online database to track visits and additional items such as diapers, pet food, menstrual products, and 'No-Cook' bags for people experiencing homelessness.
We are currently checking-in neighbors outdoors in an outdoor, non-climate-controlled area so recommend dressing appropriately.
Additional duties include:
- Directing neighbors who do not have a membership card to register with a staff member.
- Directing neighbors to our Community Connector on site to access Vouchers, Financial Assistance program, and other resources.
