Greeter Volunteer: (OUTDOOR POSITION)

Greeter Volunteers are typically the first people our neighbors meet when visiting North Helpline. Multi-lingual individuals are encouraged to volunteer, although this is not a requirement.

*The Greeter stands in an outdoor, non-climate-controlled area so we recommend dressing appropriately.

Duties include:

• Handing out numbers to neighbors as they enter the food bank.
• Welcoming everyone who comes in and directing them where to go.
• Standing for extended periods of time, although a chair can be provided upon request.
• Keeping the driveway clear of people and carts.
• Keeping an eye on carts along with our cart runners.
• Identifying barriers such as mobility or language needs and referring to proper staff, when asked for assistance. 
• Referring clients to proper staff to access additional services provided in North Helpline's office.
