Registration Volunteer:
Client Services volunteers are often the first people our neighbors meet when visiting North Helpline.
This volunteer role involves using our online database to gather household information from the new neighbor. Volunteers will welcome our neighbors, assist them in registering for membership to access the services at our food bank, and direct them to the line.
This role is crucial in helping us meet the needs of our community with compassion and respect. Multi-lingual individuals are encouraged to volunteer, although this is not a requirement.
Activities will include:
- Registering for North Helpline services including the food bank.
- Dispersing items such as baby formula and diapers, Hygiene items, and No-cook bags.
- Connecting neighbors to our "Community Connector" to apply for the financial assistance program and vouchers.
- Directing neighbors to other community resources we have in the office to meet their needs.
