This summer we are hosting a neighborhood Block Party on Sunday July 13th from 12pm-4pm. The event will take place right in front of our Lake City Food Bank location. This block party is a great opportunity for the community to come together and we're expecting 150-300 attendees throughout the day. We're asking local businesses and organizations to provide music, entertainment, food, and resources. This event will be open to all and all food will be free of charge to the public. North Helpline will also be providing free popcorn, snow cones, and produce regardless of food bank membership.
VOLUNTEERS: This shift will assist staff in block party breakdown.
Roles will include handing out popcorn and snow cones, information ambassadors, garbage monitors, supply and food restocking, bathroom monitors, and other duties as needed.
Please be prepared for hot weather. Bring sunscreen, hats, comfortable shoes, sunglasses, and a water bottle.
