Volunteers are needed to unload the donations we receive from partner organizations. This means volunteers will unpack bulk goods into crates and organize them according to categories in preparation for Distribution. Volunteers will be expecting to do some heavy lifting for this shift. You will be working with three to four other volunteers as we sift through items.

Please show up on time and sign in in the office. At this time, we are asking that anyone exhibiting symptoms of a cold or virus, such as fever, cough or shortness of breath, to not come in. We will happily provide masks and gloves for volunteers if you do not have them! Lastly, please wear closed-toe shoes while in our warehouse.

Cart runners will assist neighbors with bringing their groceries to their vehicles, and ensure our carts return to us! Please dress for the weather as this position is outdoors.

Our mission is to help our entire community obtain their basic necessities. We need volunteers to help out with miscellaneous tasks around the warehouse. This flexible shift may involve finishing up home delivery box packing, helping out with food sorting, packing hygiene items, and/or helping disperse home delivery boxes to drivers. Make sure to dress for the weather, as our warehouse is not climate controlled! You can expect to work with 1 or 2 other volunteers as we sift through items. This opportunity will require standing for duration of the shift as well as bending and lifting boxes up to 30 lbs. Please show up on time and sign in at the office.

Everyday we get wonderful donations from local stores, p-patches, and individual donors. Help us ensure we are only distributing food that we would pick up ourselves! Volunteers are needed to inspect the quality of food coming in from donations and partner organizations. This means volunteers will bag produce and may also assist with bagging bulk items such as rice, dog food, potatoes, etc. Bread and pastries also get sorted after being inspected.  You can expect to work with three or four other volunteers as we sift through items. This position will require standing for the duration of the shift and frequent bending and lifting of 20 lbs. Please show up on time and sign in at the start of your shift.

Help out our Food Access program by packing boxes for Friday Food Bank To Go (FFB2G). These boxes are for neighbors that frequently have more nuanced dietary issues, so they take a bit more attention. A typical week will be between 10 and 13 neighbors or 20 total boxes.

Sharing food and resources with our neighbors is at the heart of our purpose! Volunteers helping in this position will work directly with our neighbors to distribute food according to their needs.

You can expect to serve with 8-12 other volunteers in various roles to support our food distribution, including 1) allotting food from specific categories depending on each client's household size and preferences, 2) restocking food at the distribution tables, 3) running grocery carts to our neighbors' cars and back (must be 17 years or older), or 4) allotting hygiene items to clients.

You can expect to work with 4 to 5 other volunteers as we sift through items. This opportunity will require standing for the duration of the shift as well as bending and lifting boxes up to 30 lbs.
