Greeter Volunteer: (OUTDOOR POSITION)

Greeter Volunteers are typically the first people our neighbors meet when visiting North Helpline. Multi-lingual individuals are encouraged to volunteer, although this is not a requirement.

*The Greeter stands in an outdoor, non-climate-controlled area so we recommend dressing appropriately.

Duties include:

Handing out numbers to neighbors as they enter the food bank.Welcoming everyone who comes in and directing them where to go.Standing for extended periods of time, although a chair can be provided upon request.Keeping the driveway clear of people and carts.Keeping an eye on carts along with our cart runners.Identifying barriers such as mobility or language needs and referring to proper staff, when asked for assistance. Referring clients to proper staff to access additional services provided in North Helpline's office.
